On March 3, The Garner Area Historical Society provided a "drop-in" presentation/exhibit in honor of Black History Month at the Southeast Regional Library. The exhibit honored some of Garner's outstanding Black educators from decades past and the importance of the early Rosenwald schools in our area. We also recognized outstanding citizen activists whose tireless efforts helped to enrich the Town of Garner and brought about many positive changes for this community. Thanks to the many contributors who shared photos, documents and other information with us for this exhibit.
